Description
Working from live models, students will develop their ability to see the complexity of the human form and will discover ways to translate their observations into a sculpture. Students will focus on fundamental ideas of sculpture such as form, volume, gesture, balance, weight, surface, geometry and structure. Students will learn basic properties and possibilities of working with clay and will gain an understanding of constructing armatures and firing finished works.
