Large Burgundy Tree Pendant on 3 mm satin co

This original, fused glass pendant is approximately 1 3/4" long and 1 3/8" wide. It is cut in a softened triangle, and the pink, gold and light blue tree is painted on and fused into the burgundy colored glass in a kiln.

I have always loved trees. I love climbing them, smelling them, listening to the wind move through them, eating their fruit and nuts. Visually I love the fractal quality of their branches and roots, the texture of the bark and structure, and the ways that they change with the seasons. They serve as protection against erosion and provide homes and food for many creatures and are an essential part of our world.

The bezel is made using copper foil technique with lead free solder. The pendant hangs from a 3mm black, satin cord that is adjustable from 14"-27", it can be worn long, or as a choker.

The cord is tied with slipknots that slide to lengthen or shorten the necklace. You slide them open to get it over your head, and then slide them into position of the desired length. Matching earrings or a different color cord are available by request. Chains are also available.
